CBD stands for cannabidiol. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history as a medicine going back thousands of years. A safe, non-addictive substance, CBD is one of more than a hundred “phytocannabinoids,” which are unique to cannabis and endow the plant with its robust therapeutic profile. CBD is closely related to another important medicinally active phytocannabinoid: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound that causes the high that cannabis is famous for. Both CBD and THC have significant therapeutic attributes. But unlike THC, CBD does not make a person feel “stoned” or intoxicated. That’s because CBD and THC act in different ways on different receptors in the brain and body.
Scientists think that CBD works by interacting with the endocannabinoid system (ECS). This is a network of receptors that exists throughout the entire body, regulating a multitude of functions. The system works using endocannabinoids, messenger molecules that are like the cannabinoids from plants, but the body produces them naturally. The similarity between endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids (from cannabis) allows compounds like THC and CBD to affect the human body. While THC may engage directly with the receptors, CBD may prevent endocannabinoids from being broken down, allowing them to do their job for longer. The exact mechanism is still up for debate, but we know that CBD does not bind directly to the receptors.
No! The consumption of marijuana whether by smoking, vaping or consuming edibles, can be detected on a drug test because it ends up in urine, blood and hair follicles. When using THC/CBD based creams, lotions, salves, balms, etc. your skin is a barrier and the products don't enter the bloodstream. While there is THC/CBD in the lotion/cream which is absorbed into your skin, muscles and nerves, it does not reach your bloodstream (and ultimately, your brain, where the psychoactive aspect of THC is caused), so it cannot be detected by a test. Since you’re not consuming the THC orally, there’s no way for it to get into your bloodstream.
As our company grows and our customers continue to give us amazing feedback, we are discovering new conditions that our products help relieve. Customers have provided positive feedback in relief from the following; stress, body inflammations, sleeplessness, aging skin, cracked skin, nail repair, callous repair, burn treatment, opioid withdrawal, allergies and more.
Not all CBD products are created equal. Many are sold with trace amounts of CBD and/or the absence of THC and other important compounds. Numerous studies have shown that CBD products without the inclusion of the right amount of CBD, THC and other compounds lose effectiveness. This is due to CBD’s synergistic relationship with THC which significantly enhances CBDs ability to heal. All 4mula 2.0 products contain the right amount of CBD and other compounds. The THC content falls within The State of Wisconsin’s guidelines (with less than 0.3 percent THC).
Unlike many other products on the market, we consider our creams and lotions to be more than just a CBD product. Along with the THC and terpenoids being preserved in our creams and lotions, we also include a wide range of natural, plant based, therapeutic grade essential oils that further add to our formula of anti-inflammatory, antioxidants, anti-fungal, anti-spasmodic, and analgesic components. Our raw shea and cocoa butters, used as carriers in our products, maintain the ability to revitalize skin, unlike those that include processed chemicals. Together these make our products like few others.
A true medicine chest for healing!
